# IPIPD Proxy Connection Troubleshooting Guide
## Overview
This troubleshooting guide walks you through fixes for common proxy connection errors including timeout failures, authentication issues and failed proxy tests when setting up IPIPD proxies on anti-detect browsers, regular browsers and third-party software.
**Precondition**: Confirm you have purchased valid IPIPD proxy packages and obtained full proxy credentials (IP address, port, username & password). Reach out to our online support team for purchasing info if you haven’t ordered yet.
## Step 1: Verify Your Proxy Credentials & Protocol Settings
Incorrect credential input is the top cause of proxy failures. Follow the standard formatting rule strictly:
IP:Port:Username:PasswordSeparate all items with English colon
:Log into your IPIPD member dashboard and cross-check every detail below:
1. Proxy Host IP: Match the value shown on your backend exactly, no extra spaces
2. Port Number: Input identical port digits without leading/trailing whitespace
3. Username & Password: Double-check letter case; reset your proxy password on dashboard for a fresh retry if needed
### Supported Proxy Protocols
We offer SOCKS5 and HTTP protocols for mainstream business usage, with UDP access enabled by default for both options.
> Recommendation: Prioritize SOCKS5 for broader compatibility and higher connection success rate.
### Test Proxy Validity via IPIPD Official Checker
Use our built-in proxy testing tool on IPIPD official site to validate your proxy:
Fill in your proxy IP and port, then run the inspection. A passed test confirms valid proxy credentials; move on to environment troubleshooting if connections still fail afterward.
## Step 2: Check Your Local Network Condition
> Critical Note: IPIPD residential proxies cannot run directly under mainland China domestic internet. Access to stable overseas network is a mandatory prerequisite for normal proxy operation, which is the most frequent reason behind failed connections.
### Required Network Criteria
- Your network must support stable access to global overseas internet resources
- Sufficient bandwidth and steady network connectivity
- Certain regional ISPs or local firewalls may restrict outbound proxy traffic
### Quick Network Troubleshooting Tips
- Users based in mainland China: Set up valid overseas network access before configuring proxies
- Fluctuating or disconnected outbound network: Restart your network or switch to an alternate internet exit
- Port blocked by firewall: Ask your network administrator to unblock restricted ports or change your network route
**Disclaimer**: IPIPD only supplies residential proxy IP resources. We do not provide setup service or technical guidance for overseas network configuration; users are responsible for preparing compliant global network access independently.
## Step 3: Troubleshoot Anti-Detect Browser Setup (AdsPower as Primary Example)
If you use AdsPower or similar fingerprint browsers for proxy deployment, follow the checklist below after confirming your local network is based overseas:
1. Pick the matching proxy protocol (SOCKS5/HTTP) consistent with your IPIPD backend setup
2. Fill in complete proxy host, port, username and password without redundant characters
3. Tap the built-in proxy test button on the setting page; launch your browser profile only after the test shows successful connection
## Step 4: Reach Out to IPIPD Customer Support
If all previous checks are completed and your proxy still fails to connect, submit a support ticket via IPIPD online customer service. Prepare the below materials upfront to accelerate technical diagnosis:
1. Your proxy plan type: Static Residential / Rotating ISP / Broadcast Residential IP
2. Full backend screenshot including complete IP, port and authentication data
3. Applied proxy protocol: SOCKS5 / HTTP / HTTPS
4. Name of your testing software: AdsPower, Multilogin, Chrome or other tools
5. Full screenshot of your connection error messages
6. Detailed description of your current network environment (confirm overseas network status)
Our technical team will analyze your issue promptly once all supporting documents are received.
